Heavy rains flooded our Kenyan partners' children's center, temporarily closing it. The flooding has ended, but for a short time our services and feeding were stopped. Everything is back to normal now scroll down to get an update and learn how you can continue

Project Lucas is governed by a board of trustees that oversees
the use of our resources and work. All donations are tax deductible.

Flooding Update

The rains have stopped and things are back to normal at FOCUS (our Kenyan partners). The center where we feed, clothe, love and minister to 45 children is back open. Because of the generosity of our supporters we were able to make some permanent repairs to the center so next year during the rainy season this problem will not happen.

The repairs took about 8 days to finish, but now the center has a drainage system. That is a wonderful addition. We are now in the process of replacing the big sand box that was damaged from the flooding and building up the playing field with new dirt and mulch where the children play everyday. That project will begin in a few weeks. It will give a much needed boost to the center and especially the children. Project Lucas' goal is to promote awareness and engage individuals worldwide to provide food, medical care, and education to orphans and children affected by poverty and HIV/AIDS. At this time we especially feel led to help, support and minister to the 45 children at FOCUS. We will keep all of our supporters, friends and partners updated with news, pictures, and stories of how the improvements to the center is going. Once again, a big THANK YOU to everyone that stepped up and helped us make these much needed repairs.
